How long have you been in SteriValves?

After graduating as a Computer Technician, I immediately started my first work experience for an IT company. It’s been a long experience, 16 years during which I’ve been involved in both programming and training as a Senior Software Developer. Then when I got the chance to switch to SteriValves in 2018 I decided it was time to dedicate myself to something new. When I arrived here, I already knew the company and its orientation towards the computerization of processes, and it was precisely this that convinced me that it could be an interesting path.

What is your role in SteriValves?

At Sterivalves I follow the development of the management system as well as the system support and assistance. I like to be able to contribute to the design and implementation of projects that are always different, we never stop looking for solutions that can support colleagues and offer a higher quality to our customers. From the beginning the company has worked in this direction giving ample space to computerisation, optimizing processes to reduce the margin of error and increase the efficiency of services, an approach difficult to find in companies of this size. In March 2020 the arrival of the pandemic did not block any activity, we were able to work remotely from the outset.
In addition, those who are already our customers, know the attention we put into offering digital documentation. Everything in the company is managed digitally.

What do you like about your job?

I am a cheerful and helpful person, I like to compare with my colleagues and be able to help at an operational level. I do not hide also that being able to participate with my proposals to the realization of always new projects is very exciting.
Even if it is a production company the attention to the IT part is very high and closely linked to the desire to constantly improve the structure and processes of Traceability and Quality.
Another aspect that allows me to appreciate even more the work in Sterivalves is the attention to the needs of its employees.
Even after the end of the state of emergency, the company has chosen not to abandon smart working: to a different extent depending on the role and activity, the possibility of working from home has been maintained, which contributes to a better work life balance.
