Silcap – Protective Cap for Dust-Free Connections
Silcap is a protective cap specifically designed to securely close Modula system butterfly valves and Steriflange mounting flanges. Its purpose is to prevent cross-contamination and protect product-contact surfaces—especially the valve disc—during system downtime, inspection, or handling.
Silcap is used in pharmaceutical, food, and fine chemical plants at dust-free connection points for loading and unloading bulk solids from containers (BINs, FIBCs, etc.) or pipelines. It is installed to protect connection interfaces and ensure optimal hygienic conditions before and after product transfer.
- Mechanically protects the butterfly valve disc and flange connection surfaces.
- Prevents the buildup of residual powder and cross-contamination at inactive connections.
